Role OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Assistant to support our management team with sales reporting, manufacturing data analysis, and key programs related to Quality, Food Safety, and Occupational Health and Safety. This role blends strong Excel and reporting skills with on-the-floor quality support and process improvement work.
Key Responsibilities Reporting and Data- Extract data from client portals, analyze results, and generate reports for management
- Support reporting on manufacturing processes, trends, and performance
- Identify patterns and suggest process improvements based on data
- Monitor project progress and communicate updates
- Create documentation, maintain project files, and support timelines and implementation plans
- Assist with special projects as assigned by the Management team
- Maintain the quality control system and related processes to ensure products meet standards
- Perform GMP in-process quality checks and inspections during manufacturing and packaging
- Review, implement, and maintain the BRC system
- Follow up on Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) plans
- Support the Occupational Health and Safety program to align with the Workers Compensation Act and Work Safe regulations
- Conduct accident investigations with employees and supervisors
- Perform risk assessments and help develop procedures, work instructions, and forms
- Perform facility inspections
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Some experience in a quality-related and safety-related role (food or manufacturing preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and comfort with other computer applications, including AI tools
- Some experience developing or supporting quality control and safety systems
- Knowledge of industry best practices and food safety and safety legislation/standards
- GMP and HACCP certification (preferred)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and fluent in English
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
