CNC Busbar Fabrication Operator & Programmer

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled CNC Busbar Fabrication Operator & Programmer to set up, program, and operate a Boschert CU Profi (or similar CNC fabrication center) used in the production of copper busbars and related components.

Job Description We are hiring for 3rd shift Monday to Thursday 3:00 pm to 1:00amPay range $27-$35 per hour

This role is responsible for machine setup, CNC programming, quality inspection, process improvement, and safe operation while producing high-quality parts that meet engineering specifications and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC equipment for punching, drilling, milling, tapping, slotting, and shearing copper busbars.

Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs using CAD/CAM software and DXF/Solid Works files.

Perform tooling setup, machine calibration, first-piece inspections, and in-process quality checks.

Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and tolerances.

Use precision measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

Troubleshoot tooling, offsets, and machine performance issues.

Maintain program libraries, setup documentation, and inspection records.

Follow all safety procedures and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications2+ years of CNC programming and machine operation experience.

Experience with punching, drilling, milling, tapping, and shearing equipment.

Proficiency with CAD/CAM software and CNC/ISO code editing.

Ability to read mechanical drawings and work to tight tolerances.

Strong inspection and measurement skills.

Experience with copper busbar fabrication preferred.

Preferred Experience with Boschert CU Profi or similar busbar fabrication equipment.

Knowledge of electrical busbar applications and busbar programming software.

Forklift certification a plus.
