Empowerment Advocate at Pacific Coast Resources

Join Pacific Coast Community Resources as a Community Inclusion Worker to drive personal growth and community participation for individuals with disabilities. You’ll ensure that their voices and choices shape their own lives.

In this role, your efforts will focus on advocating for the supported person's rights, facilitating community-based engagement, and fostering essential relationships. You will coordinate social and vocational activities while documenting health information and progress meticulously. Your skills in communication and behavior management will play a crucial role in influencing individual success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respect and advocate for the supported person’s choices

• Organize social and vocational involvement in the community

• Nurture relationships with families and community members

• Participate in developing Individual Service Plans

• Maintain accurate personal health information documentation

Requirements:

• Community Support Worker Diploma or similar

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in social services

• Current Emergency First Aid/CPR certification

• Valid BC Driver's License with a satisfactory record

• Ability to work in Canada
