Community Support Worker at CVS

Empower individuals with developmental disabilities as a Community Support Worker with Community Ventures Society. Engage in meaningful community inclusion, life skills training, and recreational activities.

Community Ventures Society is seeking a Community Support Worker to assist adults in their Community Inclusion program. This role involves helping individuals secure employment, teach essential life skills, and promote independence. You will also facilitate relationship building and community integration through various activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support individuals in finding and retaining paid employment

• Teach life skills aligned with personal and employment goals

• Encourage independence and self-determination

• Facilitate recreational and leisure activities

• Build relationships within the community

Requirements:

• Experience with individuals who have developmental disabilities

• Class 5 driver’s license and reliable vehicle

• Current First Aid training (or willingness to obtain)

• Clean driving and criminal record

• Ability to connect respectfully with individuals served
