Casual Community Inclusion Support Worker

Join Community Ventures Society as a Community Inclusion Support Worker and help adults with developmental disabilities lead fulfilling lives through support and engagement.

In this role, the Community Support Worker will guide individuals in the Community Inclusion program by assisting them in achieving employment and developing life skills. You will promote independence, facilitate recreational activities, and support relationship building while ensuring a supportive environment for the individuals you serve.

Key Responsibilities:

• Help individuals secure and maintain employment opportunities

• Teach essential life skills in relation to personal goals

• Organize recreational activities like swimming and hiking

• Encourage community inclusion and building relationships

• Implement effective communication strategies

Requirements:

• Familiarity with supporting individuals with developmental disabilities

• Class 5 driver’s license and a reliable vehicle

• First Aid training or willingness to receive training

• Clean driving and criminal record

• Respectful and effective communication skills
