The Concrete Pump Operator at B&B Concrete Ltd. (Saskay Ready Mix) is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a pump truck to deliver concrete to various job sites, while also ensuring the equipment's cleanliness and conducting routine maintenance checks. With a focus on upholding safety standards and effective communication with dispatchers and team members, the role plays a vital part in maintaining smooth transportation logistics and delivering quality service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely load, drive, and operate a pump truck through urban areas and to designated job sites, including remote locations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the vehicle, identify defects, and assist with corrective actions.
• Evaluate site conditions and set up the truck and pump equipment appropriately.
• Operate the boom and pump to accurately place concrete in designated locations.
• Load and unload concrete pumps and attachments, ensuring tools and equipment are properly used and maintained.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as bi-weekly greasing, light replacement, etc.
• Thoroughly clean the pump truck and all accessories at the end of each shift.
• Monitor and report all maintenance issues, including CVI, services, repairs, and defects, to the Fleet Manager.
• Ensure the truck is parked in the company lot at the end of each day with a full tank of fuel and DEF.
• Effectively communicate with dispatchers and other drivers to optimize transportation and logistics.
• Follow dispatch and site instructions, reporting any issues or concerns promptly.
• Provide assistance on location as required, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
• Uphold a safe work environment by complying with OHS regulations, MOTI requirements, and all other safety protocols, wearing appropriate PPE at all times.
• Mentor and train new drivers when required.
• Utilize GPS and other digital tools effectively while demonstrating strong time management skills.
• Assist with plant and yard-related needs and additional tasks as required.m of two years’ operating Concrete Pump Truck

Qualifications:

• Minimum two years’ experience as a concrete pump operator.
• Proficiency in operating high-pressure line pumps and articulating boom pumps.
• Valid Class 1 or 3 License with a clean abstract (Class 1 preferred).
• Possession of a Class 3 CDL with air brakes endorsement and no restrictions is preferred.
• Valid CCPO Certification.
• Proficiency with cell phones, digital apps, and email communications.
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a safety-conscious mindset.
• Effective communication skills with fluency in English.
• Understanding of vehicle operational and mechanical needs.
• Knowledge of MOTI and safety requirements.
• Possession of own reliable transportation.
