On-Call Driver

Lordco Auto Parts is Canada’s largest privately held automotive parts distributor and Western Canada’s largest distributor and retailer of aftermarket parts and accessories. With over 85 store locations across Western Canada, the company is family-owned and operated since 1974.

The On-Call Driver will provide driver coverage for the Heavy‑Duty Department during vacation, sick leave, injury coverage, and other temporary driver absences. Hours are dependent on operational need.

• Complete assigned delivery routes based on operational needs.
• Support store deliveries, transfers, replenishment, and other transportation requirements.
• Load and unload freight safely while following company procedures.
• Ensure freight is properly secured before departure.
• Complete required paperwork, delivery documentation, and return documentation accurately.
• Communicate delays, service issues, equipment concerns, or route challenges to the appropriate supervisor or manager.
• Follow all company safety policies, transportation procedures, and compliance requirements.
• Maintain a professional and service-focused approach when dealing with stores, DC teams, and internal departments.
• Assist with transfer returns, empties, and freight movement as required during coverage periods.

• Valid U unrestricted Class 1 driver’s license.
• Previous delivery or commercial driving experience.
• Ability to safely operate company vehicles and follow transportation procedures.
• Dependable, flexible, and able to adjust to changing operational needs.
• Ability to lift, move, load, and unload freight as required.
• Strong safety mindset and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while following directions from the Heavy‑Duty Manager.
• Winter and chain-up experience.
• Clean driver’s abstract.

$32.00–$37.00 per hour based on experience.
