Junior Accountant​/Financial Statements Reviewer

About the Role

An excellent opportunity is available for a detail-oriented and analytical individual to join a professional accounting environment.

This role focuses on the review and quality control of Annual Financial Statements (AFS) before they are issued to clients. You will play a key role in ensuring that financial reports are accurate, compliant, and professionally presented
.

This is ideal for someone looking to build strong technical accounting experience and gain exposure to financial reporting standards and audit processes.

• Review Annual Financial Statements (AFS) for accuracy, completeness, and consistency

• Perform reconciliations and casting checks to ensure all figures are correct

• Cross-check information across:

  • Income Statement

  • Balance Sheet

  • Cash Flow Statement

  • Notes to the financial statements

• Ensure all financial information aligns with IFRS standards

• Review system-generated outputs (e.g. Data Snipper) for accuracy

• Check formatting, spelling, page numbering, and overall presentation

• Identify and clearly highlight discrepancies or errors

• Escalate any concerns impacting the integrity of the financial statements

• Qualification or studies in Accounting / Finance

• Basic understanding of financial statements (AFS)

• Knowledge of accounting principles and exposure to IFRS (advantageous)

• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
