Location: Gqeberha
Requirements:
- Matric or equivalent.
- Formal accounting qualification.
- SYSPRO Expertise:
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience. Must be comfortable with full accounting function, including Cashbook, Creditors, Debtor and Inventory modules. - Accounting:
Strong understanding of accounting principles. - Industry
Experience:
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is non-negotiable. (Automotive preferred) - Excel
Skills:
Advanced proficiency to handle complex stock reports.
Oversee the accounting function of the business
- This includes managing the bookkeeper, debtor, creditor and stock functions.
- Implement systems and controls.
- Ensure accurate recording of entries and train staff where needed.
- Stock movement checks and processing.
- Assisting with the verification of cycle counts.
- Costing: including reviewing Bill of Materials (BOM) and identifying fluctuations in raw material costs.
- Obsolescence:
Identify and report on slow-moving or obsolete stock. - Record scrap.
- Month-end journal entries.
- Prepare and submit VAT and EMP
201s’. - Maintaining the Fixed Asset Register, including ensuring all assets are tagged.
- Prepare monthly management accounts.
- Review and highlight to management any areas for consideration.
- Drive cost savings.
- Detailed analysis to management.
- Prepare Forecasts.
- Work on internal costings e.g. machine hour calculations.
- Assist the Commercial & Financial Director with quoting on new business.
- Annual Financial Audit.
- BBBEE Audit.
- AIS (Automotive Investment Scheme) Audits.
