Construction Foreman

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Foreman to supervise and lead on-site construction activities in Port Elizabeth . This hands-on role requires a proactive individual who can effectively manage a construction crew, ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications. You will be the crucial link between project managers and the on-site workforce, responsible for coordinating daily tasks, maintaining quality standards, and upholding a strong safety culture.

• Supervise and direct daily activities of construction crews, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule.
• Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to guide work crews and ensure accuracy.
• Monitor and enforce strict health and safety regulations on the construction site.
• Maintain equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working order and used correctly.
• Coordinate with site superintendents and other managers regarding project progress and resource needs.
• Perform quality checks on work performed to ensure it meets project standards and specifications.

• Proven experience as a Construction Foreman or a similar supervisory role in the building trade.
• Solid understanding of construction processes, materials, and safety protocols .
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents relevant to construction projects in the Eastern Cape .
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
