About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to join their dynamic team in Port Elizabeth , focusing on high-profile construction and development projects. This role requires a blend of strong on-site oversight and effective remote coordination to ensure projects are delivered successfully, adhering to strict quality, safety, and budget standards. You will be responsible for managing all phases of the project lifecycle, from initial planning and site assessment to final handover, fostering collaboration between on-site teams and remote stakeholders.
This is a crucial position within a growing organization committed to excellence in the Eastern Cape region.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and successful completion of construction and development projects.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources, ensuring adherence to financial and time constraints.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless project progression.
- Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings, documenting findings and addressing any issues promptly.
- Implement and enforce strict health and safety protocols on all construction sites.
- Liaise with clients and other stakeholders, providing regular updates and ensuring satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in project management , specifically within the construction and development sector.
- Demonstrated experience in managing projects from conception through to completion in Port Elizabeth and surrounding areas.
- Proficiency in construction project management software and methodologies.
- Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant degree or professional qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
