About the Role
Our client requires a highly experienced and proactive Senior Construction Foreman to supervise and coordinate work on various construction sites in and around Port Elizabeth . You will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring the efficient and safe execution of tasks by the construction crew. This role is hands-on, requiring strong leadership, excellent practical knowledge of construction techniques, and the ability to motivate a team to achieve project objectives.
You will be critical in maintaining high standards of workmanship and productivity on site, ensuring projects are completed to specification and on schedule for our esteemed clients in the Eastern Cape region.
- Supervise and direct the daily activities of construction crews and subcontractors.
- Ensure all work is performed safely, in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Interpret blueprints and specifications to guide the construction process accurately.
- Manage the allocation and efficient use of labor, tools, and equipment on site.
- Maintain daily logs and reports on work progress, safety incidents, and site conditions.
- Coordinate with project managers and other site personnel to resolve issues and ensure smooth workflow.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Foreman or in a similar supervisory role.
- Extensive knowledge of construction trades, methods, building materials , and safety regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various sites in the Port Elizabeth area.
