About the Role
Our client is looking for a diligent and experienced Construction Site Supervisor to oversee residential development projects in Port Elizabeth . You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the construction site, ensuring that all building activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and according to project specifications and timelines. This role requires strong leadership, practical construction knowledge, and the ability to coordinate effectively with tradespeople and suppliers.
You will play a key role in delivering high-quality homes, contributing to the growth of the Eastern Cape 's housing sector, within an organization that prioritizes quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.
- Oversee and direct daily construction activities on residential sites in Port Elizabeth , ensuring adherence to building plans and schedules.
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors, tradespeople, and site personnel, ensuring efficient workflow and quality of work.
- Implement and enforce strict health and safety protocols on site, conducting regular safety inspections and toolbox talks.
- Monitor material procurement and site stock, ensuring timely availability of resources and minimizing waste.
- Maintain site records, including daily progress reports, incident reports, and quality control documentation.
- Ensure the site is maintained in a clean, organized, and secure manner at all times.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a supervisory role within residential construction.
- Proven ability to manage site operations, subcontractors, and labor effectively.
- Good understanding of residential building techniques, materials, and safety regulations relevant to South Africa.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with a practical approach to challenges.
