Site Manager - Civil Works

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and experienced Site Manager to oversee civil engineering projects in and around Port Elizabeth. This critical role demands hands‑on leadership, ensuring that all civil works are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and timelines. You will be responsible for daily site operations, managing labor, equipment, and materials, and ensuring strict adherence to quality and safety standards.

• Manage day-to-day operations on the construction site, ensuring efficient workflow.
• Supervise and direct a team of construction workers, subcontractors, and equipment operators.
• Implement and enforce strict health and safety protocols on site at all times.
• Monitor project progress against the schedule, identifying and addressing any delays or issues.
• Ensure the quality of workmanship and materials used meets project requirements.
• Coordinate the delivery and utilization of plant, machinery, and materials.

• Proven experience as a Site Manager or similar supervisory role in civil construction.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction techniques, and site safety regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience working on infrastructure projects within the Port Elizabeth region is advantageous.
