About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join their nurturing childcare setting in Port Elizabeth . This hybrid role requires a commitment to providing exceptional care and education for young children, blending hands-on classroom interaction with remote planning and administrative tasks. You will play a key role in fostering a stimulating and safe learning environment, encouraging children's natural curiosity and development.

We are looking for an individual passionate about early childhood education who can contribute positively to the team and the children's experiences in the Eastern Cape .

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and plan engaging, developmentally appropriate activities for children aged (Specify Age Range, e.g., 0-5 years).
  • Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment that promotes curiosity and exploration.
  • Observe and document children's learning, development, and well-being, sharing insights with parents.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the setting, including remote planning sessions.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and safety within the childcare environment.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, building positive relationships.
Requirements
  • A recognized qualification in Early Childhood Development (ECD) or a related field.
  • Previous experience working with young children in a professional capacity.
  • Sound knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (or relevant curriculum framework).
  • Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model, managing both in-person and remote responsibilities.
  • Strong observation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for early childhood education and a commitment to child welfare.
