Our client is seeking a passionate and nurturing Early Childhood Educator to join their vibrant learning center in Port Elizabeth . You will create a safe, stimulating, and supportive environment where young children can explore, learn, and grow. This role focuses on hands-on learning experiences, fostering social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. The ideal candidate is dedicated to early childhood education principles, possesses excellent communication skills with both children and parents, and is committed to creating a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
You will be responsible for planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that encourage curiosity and a love for learning.
- Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate learning activities that promote holistic child development.
- Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining detailed records of their development and learning.
- Create a safe, clean, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning and exploration.
- Foster positive social interactions and emotional well-being among children.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, development, and classroom activities.
- Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and licensing regulations for early childhood education centers.
- Relevant qualification in Early Childhood Development (e.g., NQF Level 4 or equivalent).
- Previous experience working with young children in a childcare or preschool setting.
- Deep understanding of child development theories and best practices in early childhood education.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a warm and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
- Current First Aid certification is a strong advantage.
