Located 800 km northeast of Lima, Peru, Yanacocha is South America’s largest gold mine. The WTP Project consists of two of the largest acid water treatment plants in South America (the West one with capacity of 3,000 m3/hour and the East one with 2,700 m3/hour). Early works are currently being performed on site, preparing the permanent platforms and laydown areas for the East and West plants, in addition to the Class 2 estimate, Level 3 schedule and Execution Plan.

In this role, you will monitor and organize subcontractor planning, safety, quality, and technical activities on a complex project with multiple stakeholders’ involvement, through the coordination and instruction of subcontractor’s management staff. Your field supervision will help ensure operations are planned to coincide with overall established schedules and that work methods are planned and executed safely.

• Monitoring and organizing subcontractor activities, through coordination and instruction of subcontractor’s management staff within the area of responsibility.
• Supporting projects of moderate complexity, and few stakeholders involved.
• Preparing construction drawings and sketches.
• Developing planning construction methods and procedures.
• Developing projections and schedules for workforce, material, and equipment requirements.
• Monitoring installation of materials and equipment to assuring conformance with drawings, specifications, vendor, and other requirements.
• Implementing and enforcing policies, procedures and related work rules as established by field construction management.
• Working with Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals, in interpreting Engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents.
• Coordinating engineering solutions with Subcontractors, and Foremen and Craft Professionals.
• Coordinating with Design on constructability issues.

• Requires an Engineering degree (or international equivalent) related to the position and 5-8 years of relevant experience.
• Required qualified tuition by the College of Engineers of Peru (CIP).

• Knowledge of AutoCAD and Navis Work.
• Knowledge of planning tools (3
  
  WLA).
• Knowledge in rigging and lifting maneuvers.
• Intermediate English.
• Experience in tensioning DTI, TC and other bolts.
