Job OverviewThis role focuses on designing and implementing circular economy strategies for manufacturing processes, aligning with Interface’s sustainability goals. The consultant will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize material life cycles, reduce carbon emissions, and enhance supply chain resilience. The position is ideal for professionals passionate about driving systemic change in industrial ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities- Develop circular economy roadmaps for production facilities in South Africa
- Conduct lifecycle assessments and identify waste reduction opportunities
- Partner with suppliers and stakeholders to establish closed-loop systems
- Monitor and report on sustainability KPIs aligned with global standards
- Lead training programs on circular economy principles for employees
- Expertise in circular economy frameworks (Ellen Mac Arthur Foundation principles)
- Proficiency in sustainability software tools (e.g., Sima Pro, GaBi)
- Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Knowledge of South African environmental regulations and ISO 14001 standards
- Excellent data analysis and reporting capabilities
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field. Advanced certification in Circular Economy or Sustainability Management is advantageous.
Experience3-5 years in sustainability consulting, manufacturing operations, or circular economy strategy development. Experience in the construction, textiles, or materials industry is preferred.
SalarySSP 650,000 – SSP 850,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
