Structural Civil Engineer - Building Design

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Structural Civil Engineer to join their esteemed design team in Port Elizabeth . This role involves the design and analysis of structural components for a wide range of buildings, from residential complexes to commercial and industrial facilities. You will collaborate closely with architects and other engineering disciplines to ensure the structural integrity and safety of buildings.

• Perform structural analysis and design for various building types, including concrete, steel, and masonry structures.
• Prepare detailed structural drawings, calculations, and specifications.
• Collaborate with architects and construction teams to integrate structural designs into building plans.
• Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and address structural issues.
• Utilize advanced structural analysis software to model and assess building performance.

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in structural design, preferably for buildings.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA is required.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., SAP
  2000, ETABS, Prokon).
• Strong understanding of building materials, construction methods, and structural principles.
• Excellent technical drawing and communication skills.
