About the Role
Our client, a well-established engineering consultancy located in Port Elizabeth , is seeking a dedicated Senior Civil Engineer with expertise in Water Resources Management . This role is crucial for developing and implementing sustainable water and wastewater infrastructure solutions for municipal and industrial clients across the Eastern Cape . You will lead project teams, conduct detailed hydraulic modeling, and ensure the design and construction of water supply systems, pipelines, and treatment facilities meet stringent environmental and operational standards.
This position offers a challenging opportunity to contribute to vital water security initiatives.
- Lead the design and analysis of water supply systems, including distribution networks, reservoirs, and pumping stations.
- Perform hydraulic modeling for river systems, flood studies, and stormwater management.
- Develop designs for water and wastewater treatment plants and associated infrastructure.
- Prepare technical specifications, tender documents, and contract administration.
- Conduct environmental impact assessments related to water resource projects.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and client relationships effectively.
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Water Resources or Hydrology.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in water resource engineering and infrastructure design.
- Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration with ECSA is essential.
- Proficiency in hydraulic modeling software (e.g., EPANET, HEC-RAS) and design software.
- Experience with water and wastewater treatment processes and technologies.
- Strong project management and report writing skills.
