About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Aviation Safety Officer to enhance their safety management system in Port Elizabeth . This crucial role involves developing, implementing, and overseeing safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all aviation regulations. You will conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations, promoting a proactive safety culture throughout the organization. This position is vital for maintaining the highest safety standards and operational integrity within the company's aviation activities.

• Develop and maintain the organization's Aviation Safety Management System (SMS) . Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments of operations and facilities.
• Investigate aviation incidents and accidents, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs to all relevant personnel.
• Monitor compliance with aviation safety regulations and company policies.
• Promote a positive safety culture through communication, engagement, and leadership.

• Recognized qualification in Aviation Safety Management or a related field.
• Extensive experience in aviation safety roles, preferably within an airline or MRO environment.
• In-depth knowledge of safety management systems and risk assessment methodologies.
• Familiarity with national and international aviation safety regulations.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
