About the Role
Our client seeks a skilled Aircraft Systems Integration Engineer to contribute to the development and modification of advanced aircraft systems in Port Elizabeth. This role involves the complex task of ensuring that various aircraft systems, including avionics, electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, work harmoniously together. You will be responsible for defining system requirements, developing integration strategies, performing testing, and troubleshooting issues that arise during the integration process.
This position requires a deep understanding of aircraft architecture and a proactive approach to problem-solving within a collaborative engineering environment.
- Define system requirements and specifications for the integration of new or modified aircraft systems.
- Develop and execute integration plans and test procedures for various aircraft systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to system interfaces and interdependencies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams (avionics, electrical, mechanical) to ensure successful system integration.
- Perform system analysis and validation to ensure compliance with performance and safety standards.
- Document integration processes, test results, and system configurations meticulously.
- Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in aircraft systems engineering and integration.
- Proven ability to work with complex aircraft systems such as avionics, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and integration methodologies.
- Experience with simulation tools and test equipment for system validation.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential.
