About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated Electrical Engineer to lead and contribute to significant industrial projects across various sectors in Port Elizabeth and surrounding regions. This role demands a strong technical background in electrical design, installation, and project management, focusing on delivering complex industrial electrical infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
The successful candidate will thrive in a challenging project environment, possess excellent leadership skills, and be passionate about contributing to the industrial development of the Eastern Cape.
- Manage all phases of industrial electrical projects, from conceptualization to commissioning.
- Design electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, motor control centers, and earthing systems.
- Prepare detailed electrical drawings, specifications, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and tender documents.
- Oversee site installations, ensuring adherence to design specifications and safety regulations.
- Conduct site surveys, risk assessments, and quality control inspections.
- Liaise effectively with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal project teams.
- B.Eng or
B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering. - Minimum of 6 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on industrial projects.
- Proven experience in project management methodologies and contract administration.
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical equipment, standards (e.g., SABS, IEC), and safety protocols.
- Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD) and project management tools.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
