Senior Geoscientist - Subsurface Integration

Our client is seeking a results-oriented Senior Geoscientist with a focus on subsurface integration to join their team in Port Elizabeth . This role is crucial for synergizing geological, geophysical, and reservoir engineering data to build robust subsurface models that underpin exploration and development decisions in the Oil & Gas industry . You will be responsible for the technical leadership in integrating complex datasets, ensuring data quality, and optimizing subsurface interpretations.

• Lead the integration of geological, geophysical, and reservoir engineering data to create comprehensive subsurface models.
• Develop and refine static geological models, incorporating uncertainties and sensitivities.
• Utilize advanced interpretation techniques for seismic data, well logs, and core analysis.
• Collaborate with reservoir engineers to ensure geological models accurately represent reservoir behavior and support dynamic modeling.
• Perform quality control on geological and geophysical data and interpretations.
• Contribute to the technical evaluation of exploration and development opportunities.

• Master's or PhD in Geology, Geophysics, or a related geoscience field.
• A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in subsurface integration within the Oil & Gas sector .
• Proficiency with integrated subsurface modeling software suites (e.g., Petrel, Decision Space).
• Strong skills in seismic interpretation, geological mapping, and reservoir characterization.
• Demonstrated experience in uncertainty analysis and risk assessment related to subsurface data.
