Structural Engineer - Building Design

Our client is seeking a talented and innovative Structural Engineer to join their design team in Port Elizabeth . You will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and overseeing the structural integrity of various building projects, ensuring safety, stability, and compliance with all relevant codes and standards. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, proficiency in structural analysis software, and a passion for creating resilient and efficient building designs.

You will collaborate closely with architects, project managers, and construction teams to bring innovative structural solutions to life.

• Perform structural analysis and design for new construction and renovation projects.
• Prepare detailed structural drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Ensure designs comply with local building codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with architects and other consultants to integrate structural systems into overall building design.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to design intent.
• Provide technical guidance and support to construction teams during the build phase.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a structural focus.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in structural design for buildings.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software (e.g., ETABS, SAP
  2000, Revit).
• Strong understanding of building materials, construction methods, and relevant engineering codes.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) registration is highly desirable.
