Senior Process Engineer - Speciality Chemicals

Our client is looking for a talented Senior Process Engineer with a specialization in specialty chemicals to join their expanding operations in Port Elizabeth . This role is essential for driving the efficiency, safety, and quality of our specialty chemical production lines. You will be responsible for process design, optimization, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with stringent industry standards. • Lead the design, modification, and optimization of processes for manufacturing specialty chemicals.
• Develop process simulations, P&IDs, and equipment specifications.
• Conduct process hazard analyses (PHAs) and implement effective risk management strategies.
• Troubleshoot operational challenges, identify root causes, and implement sustainable solutions to improve yield and efficiency.
• Collaborate with production, quality control, and R&D teams to ensure seamless process integration and product quality.
• Ensure adherence to all safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance standards.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering .
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in process engineering, with a significant focus on specialty chemicals.
• Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, ChemCAD) and statistical analysis tools.
• Strong knowledge of unit operations, reaction engineering, and separation technologies relevant to specialty chemicals.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is a plus.
