About the Role
Our client is seeking a talented Data Scientist with a strong specialization in AI to join their analytics team in Port Elizabeth . You will be responsible for leveraging vast datasets to uncover insights, build predictive models, and develop AI-driven solutions that enhance business operations and product offerings. This role requires a blend of statistical expertise, programming skills, and a deep understanding of machine learning techniques.
You will collaborate with business stakeholders to translate complex data into actionable strategies, driving innovation and informing key decisions within a forward-thinking organization.
- Collect, clean, and preprocess large, complex datasets from various sources.
- Develop and deploy machine learning models for tasks such as classification, regression, clustering, and anomaly detection.
- Design and conduct A/B tests and other experiments to evaluate the effectiveness of AI solutions.
- Visualize data and model results, communicating findings and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science and AI, exploring new tools and techniques.
- Master's degree or PhD in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Data Scientist, with a significant focus on AI and machine learning.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Python or R, and SQL.
- Experience with ML libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, Tensor Flow, PyTorch) and data manipulation tools (e.g., Pandas, Spark).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in the Port Elizabeth business environment.
