About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and proactive Site Reliability Engineer to join their technical team in Port Elizabeth . This pivotal role focuses on ensuring the high availability, performance, and reliability of our client's critical systems and infrastructure. You will work closely with development and operations teams to build, deploy, and maintain scalable and resilient systems, implementing best practices in automation, monitoring, and incident response.
As a key member of the team in Port Elizabeth , you will contribute significantly to the smooth operation and continuous improvement of services within the Installation & Maintenance technology sphere.
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable systems and infrastructure.
- Develop and deploy automation tools and scripts to streamline operational tasks.
- Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations.
- Respond to and resolve production incidents, performing root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with software development teams to ensure system resilience and performance.
- Implement and manage robust monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Site Reliability Engineer , Dev Ops Engineer, or similar role, ideally with exposure to Installation & Maintenance technologies.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Go, or Java.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Solid understanding of networking, operating systems, and database management.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
