Cybersecurity Analyst

Our client is seeking a vigilant and experienced Cybersecurity Analyst to safeguard their digital assets and infrastructure in Port Elizabeth . In this crucial role, you will be responsible for monitoring security systems, detecting and responding to threats, and implementing security measures to protect against evolving cyber risks. You will work within a dedicated security team, contributing to the overall security posture of the organization and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and possesses a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.

• Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools to detect potential threats and vulnerabilities.
• Investigate security incidents, conduct forensic analysis, and implement containment and eradication strategies.
• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate weaknesses.
• Educate employees on cybersecurity awareness and best practices.
• Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies.

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity analysis or a similar role.
• Proficiency with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection.
• Knowledge of network security protocols and best practices.
• Experience with incident response and forensic analysis techniques.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP are a plus.
