Senior AI Data Scientist

Our client is seeking a highly analytical and experienced Senior AI Data Scientist to join their growing team in Port Elizabeth . In this role, you will leverage advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to extract insights from complex datasets, build predictive models, and drive data-informed decision-making. You will collaborate closely with business units to understand their challenges, identify opportunities for AI-driven solutions, and deliver actionable recommendations.

• Develop, train, and validate advanced machine learning models for prediction, classification, and clustering tasks.
• Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover trends, patterns, and insights from large, complex datasets.
• Design and implement A/B tests and other experiments to measure the impact of AI solutions.
• Communicate findings and recommendations clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through visualizations and reports.
• Collaborate with AI Engineers to deploy models into production environments and monitor their performance.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and AI research.

• Master's or PhD in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in data science, with a strong focus on AI/ML model development.
• Proficiency in Python or R, including libraries such as Pandas, Num Py, Scikit-learn, Tensor Flow, or PyTorch.
• Experience with SQL and working with large datasets in relational databases.
• Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
