Logistics Planner

About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Planner to optimize supply chain operations in Port Elizabeth . This role involves strategic planning for inbound and outbound logistics, ensuring efficient movement of goods, and managing relationships with third-party logistics providers. You will analyze transportation data, identify cost-saving opportunities, and develop innovative solutions to enhance supply chain performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mind, excellent problem-solving skills, and a comprehensive understanding of logistics principles within the context of the Eastern Cape market.

• Plan and schedule transportation routes and loads to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
• Analyze logistics data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
• Coordinate with carriers, warehouses, and distribution centers to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key logistics partners and suppliers.
• Implement and monitor logistics policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Prepare reports on logistics performance, costs, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in logistics planning or supply chain coordination.
• Proficiency in logistics software and data analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of transportation modes, regulations, and best practices in Port Elizabeth .
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
