About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Industrial Cleaning Specialist to join their team in Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth) . This role is critical for maintaining the cleanliness and operational efficiency of industrial facilities. You will be responsible for performing specialized cleaning tasks, often involving heavy machinery, hazardous materials, and large-scale equipment, while strictly adhering to safety protocols. The ideal candidate possesses a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to operate specialized cleaning equipment safely and effectively in a demanding industrial setting.
Key Responsibilities- Perform deep cleaning and maintenance of industrial machinery, equipment, and production areas.
- Safely handle and dispose of industrial waste and hazardous materials according to regulations.
- Operate specialized cleaning equipment, including pressure washers, floor scrubbers, and chemical applicators.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify and address potential cleaning or safety hazards.
- Follow detailed cleaning procedures and checklists to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Maintain cleaning equipment and report any damages or maintenance requirements.
- Previous experience in industrial cleaning or a related field.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, industrial solvents, and safety procedures for handling hazardous materials.
- Proficiency in operating various types of industrial cleaning machinery.
- Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations in an industrial context.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including shifts and weekends, as required by operational needs.
