Facilities Cleaning Coordinator

Our client is seeking a dynamic Facilities Cleaning Coordinator to manage and enhance cleaning services within their properties in Port Elizabeth . This hybrid role requires a proactive individual to oversee cleaning operations, manage staff, ensure compliance with health and safety standards, and coordinate with various departments and external vendors. You will be key in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for employees and visitors, bridging on-site management with administrative responsibilities.

• Coordinate daily cleaning activities across multiple facilities, ensuring all areas are maintained to a high standard.
• Supervise, train, and motivate a team of cleaning staff, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
• Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to meet facility needs and regulatory requirements.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed and ensuring proper storage.
• Conduct regular site inspections to assess cleaning quality, identify maintenance needs, and ensure safety compliance.
• Serve as a liaison between facility management, staff, and external cleaning contractors.

• Proven experience in facilities management or a supervisory cleaning role.
• Strong understanding of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and janitorial best practices .
• Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage budgets and control costs for cleaning supplies and services.
• Proficiency in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or similar software.
