Purpose of RoleTo set-up and machining of products to specifications on production machines as well as inspection of products to specifications and work instructions.

- Safety First:
Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture - Operate machines / equipment in accordance with safe work instructions
- Set and operate specified machine. Sign first off components
- Machine components to drawing specification within the required standard time
- Work with tolerance of 12 microns
- Maintain 100% quality throughput
- Maintain 5S housekeeping and safety on machines
- CNC horizontal and vertical borer (3-5 axis) and CNC lathe
- Read and alter off sets on CNC programs
- Identify inserts and trouble shoot where necessary
- Use of measuring instruments – outside and inside mics, verniers, telescopic gauges, thread and blade mics, bore mics, thread gauges
- Hard part machining
- Qualified Artisan N3/N4 Relevant Trade Certificate and three to five years related experience
- Two to three years post apprenticeship experience
- Good experience of CNC Fanuc systems and conventional machines
- Ability to read and interpret documents
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
