Services Supervisor (Packaging Supervisor)

Job Location: Gqeberha

• Grade 12 certificate is required
• Diploma in Production Management would be advantageous
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a production environment is required.
• Valid forklift licence would be advantageous
• Ability to complete tasks accurately and timeously
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good planning and time management skills
• Strong people management skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to follow up and follow through on tasks and commitments
• Computer literacy is required

• Oversee the entire services department and its processes (dies, stereos and ink)
• Pro-actively plan, organize, and control resources (manpower & raw materials)
• Monitor Operations and equipment
• Effectively manage ink consignment stock
• Order of materials
• Liaise with internal & external stakeholders
• Supervise the different sections of the services department.
• Ensure plant efficiency in terms of quality, cost, and on-time-in-full delivery
• Provide administrative support functions to the Production Manager
• Oversee the coordination of a new job
• Action and maintain history packs
• Proficiently use WMS, Syspro, PC-Topp and Qlik Sense

• Lead, manage and control subordinates
• Manage day to day issues
• Report on contract and measure of performance scorecards
• Provide feedback to employees regarding performance
• Ensure that employees have the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to properly perform their functions

• Ensure that printing machines are attended to and ink-related problems are reported and resolved in a timely manner
• Inspect all toners received from the suppliers and report defects to the Production manager

• Conduct weekly cycle counts and monthly stocktakes

• Ensure all safety requirements are met
• Adhere to safe working standards
• Ensure equipment and PPE is adhered to
• Report incidents to the Production manager
