About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Industrial Engineer Specialist to join their manufacturing operations in Port Elizabeth . This role is vital for enhancing production efficiency, optimizing resource utilization, and implementing innovative process improvements. You will be responsible for analyzing complex operational data, designing effective workflows, and collaborating closely with production teams to drive continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities- Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies and propose optimization strategies.
- Design and implement improved production line layouts and material flow systems.
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for production efficiency and quality.
- Conduct time studies, work sampling, and ergonomic assessments to improve labor productivity and safety.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to implement process changes and new technologies.
- Document processes and procedures, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in an industrial engineering role, preferably in manufacturing.
- Solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement techniques.
- Proficiency in process modeling and simulation software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams in Port Elizabeth .
