Vehicle Inspector​/Quality Controller

About the Role

Our client is looking for a meticulous and observant Vehicle Inspector / Quality Controller to ensure that all vehicles leaving their facility meet stringent quality and safety standards in Port Elizabeth . You will conduct thorough inspections of vehicles post-repair or pre-delivery, identifying any defects or deviations from quality benchmarks. This role is critical in maintaining the company's reputation for excellence and customer satisfaction, requiring a sharp eye for detail and a comprehensive understanding of automotive standards and repair quality.

• Perform detailed visual and functional inspections of vehicles after repair or assembly.
• Assess adherence to quality standards, manufacturer specifications, and safety regulations.
• Identify and document any defects, cosmetic imperfections, or operational faults found during inspection.
• Conduct test drives to evaluate vehicle performance and identify potential issues.
• Compile detailed inspection reports, noting findings and recommending necessary corrective actions.
• Ensure all outgoing vehicles are presented in pristine condition, meeting customer expectations.

• Previous experience in automotive quality control, inspection, or a senior technician role.
• A strong understanding of vehicle construction, automotive systems, and common defects.
• Excellent observational skills and an exceptional eye for detail.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and quality checklists accurately.
• Good report-writing skills and basic computer literacy.
