Store Floor Supervisor

ABOUT THIS ROLE

Are you an experienced retail professional with strong leadership, sales, and administrative skills?

A well-established retail operation is seeking a Store Floor Supervisor to support branch operations and lead the sales floor in the absence of the Retail Branch Manager. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys managing people, driving sales, ensuring excellent customer service, and keeping branch operations running smoothly.

You’ll play a key role in supervising staff, supporting customers, managing administration, and ensuring the branch meets its sales and operational targets.

• Supervise and support in-house sales staff to achieve branch targets
• Drive sales performance and maintain strong customer relationships
• Ensure the store front is clean, well-stocked, and professionally presented
• Assist customers with product selection, applications, and technical queries
• Process orders accurately and manage quotations, sales orders, and back-orders
• Oversee stock control, IBTs, stock counts, and coordination with dispatch
• Communicate stock shortages and queries to management
• Manage daily administrative functions including GRNs, GRVs, invoicing, and cash-ups
• Assist with debtors, creditors, reconciliations, and documentation submission
• Handle customer complaints, refunds, and warranty queries professionally
• Support staff training on systems, products, and procedures
• Ensure compliance with operational procedures, health, and safety standards
• Step in to manage branch operations when the Retail Branch Manager is absent

• Matric
• Minimum 5 years’ administration experience with strong admin skills
• Minimum 5 years’ experience leading or managing a team
• Proven sales experience with a strong customer service focus
• Strong communication skills and professional presentation
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Product and application knowledge, with ability to read catalogues
• Computer literacy (MS Office)
• Valid driver’s licence
• Results-driven, organised, and a strong team leader
