Refrigeration Technician

Our Client in the HVAC Industry is seeking to employ a Refrigeration Technician to their team based in Port Elizabeth.

Requirements

• Red Seal qualified Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technician.

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the refrigeration and air conditioning trade.

• Proven ability to work under pressure and after hours when required.

• Must be of sober habits.

• Strong communication skills with customers and suppliers.

• Supervisory or management experience will be advantageous.

• Must have own hand tools.

• Safe Handling qualification will be an advantage but is not essential.

• Valid driver’s licence (implied due to company vehicle use).

Responsibilities

• Installation, maintenance, servicing, and repair of refrigeration and air conditioning systems.

• Diagnosing faults and performing repairs efficiently and accurately.

• Providing professional service and clear communication to customers.

• Liaising with suppliers regarding parts and equipment.

• Working after hours and responding to breakdowns when required.

• Ensuring all work is completed in line with safety standards and company procedures.

• Assisting with supervision and guidance of junior staff when required.

• Maintaining company vehicle and tools responsibly.
