Stores Controller

Our client, a well-established company with a focus on maintaining high standards in warehousing and inventory control, is seeking a dedicated Stores Controller to uphold their reputation for quality and reliability.

• Generate and capture cycle counts

• Issue stock to staff as required

• Perform counts on consumables and production consumables

• Receive products from suppliers

• Load and offload vehicles

• Ensure stock adjustments are accurately recorded in the system

• Manage stores and oversee daily activities

• Maintain good housekeeping standards in storage areas

• Ensure 5S standards are maintained

• Issue and transfer materials to the workshop as needed

• Assist workshop staff

• QC check incoming items

• File and document MSDSs and COCs for all incoming materials

• Maintain supplier evaluation records and rate suppliers annually

• Provide requested information to management

• Keep storage and work areas clean and uncluttered

• Close audit findings and implement corrective actions

• Suggest process improvements for QMS

• Maintain FIFO in all storage areas

• Internal and external audits

• Root cause analysis procedure

• Minimum 5 years experience in a warehousing environment

• Matric or equivalent qualification

• Proficiency in MS Office

• Operational knowledge of Pastel

• Experience in a dynamic, stores operating environment

• Forklift operation skills

• Backstock management expertise

• Inventory control knowledge

• Valid forklift license

• Valid driver’s license

• Must be able to work overtime and public holidays when required by the company

• Familiarity with inventory management systems

• Strong organizational and communication skills
