Warehouse Associate - Shipping & Receiving

Our client is looking for a diligent and reliable Warehouse Associate to join their busy shipping and receiving department in Port Elizabeth . This hands-on role is critical for the efficient movement of goods in and out of the warehouse. You will be responsible for accurately receiving incoming shipments, processing outgoing orders, maintaining inventory records, and ensuring the overall organization and cleanliness of the loading dock and storage areas.

The ideal candidate is physically capable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining high standards of operational efficiency and safety.

• Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders and packing slips.
• Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing orders accurately and efficiently according to shipping manifests.
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely to move goods within the warehouse.
• Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning items and updating the warehouse management system (WMS).
• Ensure the shipping and receiving areas are clean, organized, and safe at all times.
• Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, including stock put-away and general organization.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, preferably in shipping and receiving.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 25kg).
• Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and data entry.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
