Warehouse and Distribution Manager

Our client is seeking an accomplished Warehouse and Distribution Manager to lead their operations in Port Elizabeth . This role demands strong leadership in managing all aspects of warehouse operations, from inventory control and order fulfillment to staff management and safety compliance. You will play a key role in optimizing warehouse layout, implementing efficient workflows, and ensuring the timely and accurate dispatch of goods.

• Oversee all warehouse activities, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping.
• Implement and manage inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy and minimize discrepancies.
• Develop and execute strategies to improve warehouse efficiency, throughput, and space utilization.
• Manage and develop a team of warehouse staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations within the warehouse facility.
• Maintain and manage warehouse equipment, ensuring it is in good working order and properly maintained.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse management or distribution operations.
• Proven experience in inventory management and control systems.
• Strong understanding of warehouse safety regulations and best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other relevant software.
