Assistant Accountant - Renfrewshire

• Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts
• Process month-end journals, including payroll, accruals and prepayments
• Complete intercompany charges and reconciliations
• Maintain the fixed asset register and ensure records remain accurate
• Assist with budget preparation and monitoring
• Support monthly financial reporting activities
• Provide assistance to the Accounts Payable and Payroll functions as required
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and support continuous improvement initiatives

• Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar finance role
• Strong technical accounting knowledge
• Studying towards, or already holding, an accounting qualification would be advantageous
• Strong Excel skills and experience using financial systems
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across the business
• Professional, organised and keen to learn
• Proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset

• Salary up to £35,000
