Combat Systems Installation & Commissioning Engineer

Salary:
Circa £45,000 (dependent on skills and experience).
- Maintaining effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders including customers, suppliers, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Supporting the installation of Shared Infrastructure related equipment on board ship.
- Supporting installation inspections, harbour and sea trials where required.
- Supporting integration test & trial activities involving Shared Infrastructure.
- Involvement with start‑up / shut‑down of equipment under your area of responsibility.
- Supporting the management of defects and observation reports.
- Understanding the need to capture and maintain data generated for use by the project and the tools and techniques employed.
- Demonstrating a visible commitment to SHE and Quality.
- Experience with Combat Systems equipment.
- Good communication skills within a multi‑disciplinary team environment.
- Knowledge of integration, installation, test, trial and acceptance of equipment.
- Knowledge of physical and functional integration of Combat System equipment.
- IT networking knowledge.
- Electrical installation knowledge.
- Maritime Combat Systems experience.
Engineers should possess an academic qualification in Engineering or related STEM subjects, supplemented by relevant professional qualifications. Preference is given to candidates who are already professionally registered; accreditation support is available.

Team andRole Overview
As an Engineer, you will support the correct installation and commissioning of the T26 Shared Infrastructure and associated hardware, ensuring safety, compliance and operational readiness in work‑in‑agreement with the agreed design documentation. The role requires liaison with Operations, Planning, CS Physical Integration and CS Co‑ordination to facilitate smooth progress from stores to ship.
