Are you a skilled Electrical Engineer ready to make an impact in a fast‑paced production environment?

We’re working with a food manufacturing business in Inverclyde that is looking to add a proactive, solutions‑driven Electrical Engineer to their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward‑thinking company where your expertise will directly influence performance, reliability, and continuous improvement.

The Role

You’ll play a key role in ensuring the site runs efficiently, safely, and with minimal downtime. Working as part of a multi‑skilled engineering team, you’ll take ownership of electrical maintenance and fault finding across the site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance on site equipment
  • Diagnose and resolve faults quickly to minimise downtime
  • Support installation, commissioning, and upgrades of machinery
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety and food hygiene standards
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
  • Work closely with mechanical engineers and production teams
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability and efficiency
About You

We’re looking for a hands‑on, driven engineer who thrives under pressure and takes pride in delivering high‑quality work.

Requirements
  • Experience in electrical maintenance within food production, FMCG, or manufacturing
  • Strong fault‑finding capability across electrical systems and controls
  • Knowledge of PLCs, control panels, and automation systems
  • The ability to respond quickly and effectively to breakdowns
  • Experience with contractors
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) – essential

Eligibility:
