Power Engineer

Position: Full-Time Power Engineer Role
Become a Power Engineer with Nova Scotia Power in Port Hawkesbury, NS. Lead the operation of high-pressure boiler systems, ensuring safe and efficient energy production.

In this permanent position, your expertise as a 2nd Class Power Engineer will be vital to maintaining high operational standards. Engage in all required training while working within a safety-focused environment.

Your role will uphold both environmental responsibilities and regulatory compliance, contributing to the efficiency of energy generation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Efficiently manage boiler turbine unit operations

• Promote and adhere to Occupational Health and Safety policies

• Participate in Environmental Management initiatives

• Ensure compliance with NERC/NPCC standards

• Be available for travel and call-outs as needed

Requirements:

• 2nd Class Power Engineer Certificate is essential

• Minimum three years of relevant experience required

• Ability to exhibit strong color vision skills

• Proven problem-solving and adaptability skills

• Excellent team collaboration and interpersonal communication skills
