This is a 48-hour biweekly position (3:00pm 11:00pm) Mac

Leod Cares Port Hawkesbury Nursing Home is a 66-bedlong-term care home in Port Hawkesbury, Nova Scotia, central to all services and amenities.

Responsibilities
  • Provide holistic Resident-centered care that supports the physical, emotional, spiritual, and psychological well-being of those in our community.
  • Within your scope of practice, assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans to ensure Residents receive safe, high-quality nursing care.
  • In this leadership role, provide clinical guidance and supervision to Continuing Care Assistants, fostering collaboration, accountability, and a culture of excellence within the Home.

Qualifications
  • Valid LPN Certification in Nova Scotia.
  • Pharmacology, health assessment, and medication administration certification.
  • Certification in Safe Resident Handling.
  • Demonstrated leadership and ability to supervise and support care staff.
  • Strong clinical judgement, assessment, and documentation skills.
  • A clear vulnerable sector and criminal record check.
