Facilities Maintenance Technician

As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining clean and safe facilities while ensuring all operations run smoothly. You should have a high school diploma, preferably with specialized training in custodial or building maintenance. Ideal candidates will have one to two years of relevant experience and be willing to receive further training in emergency procedures and WHMIS.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily housekeeping duties in all facilities

• Maintain inventory of cleaning and maintenance supplies

• Execute periodic cleaning including air duct and grease trap cleaning

• Conduct basic building maintenance tasks such as plumbing and carpentry

• Oversee the operations of facilities like ice resurfacing and pool maintenance

Requirements:

• High School Diploma is mandatory

• 1-2 years of experience in facilities maintenance

• Training in First Aid and emergency procedures

• Knowledge of WHMIS and related regulations

• Ability to lift heavy objects regularly
