Practical Nurse

Enhance resident wellness as a Practical Nurse with Southbridge Care Homes. Provide critical care through medication management and comprehensive assessments. In this pivotal role, reporting to the Director of Care, you will ensure excellence in nursing practice aligned with the College of Nurses of Ontario Standards.

Engage actively in multidisciplinary meetings, assess and develop care plans, and address residents’ changing health conditions. As an RPN, you will guide nursing staff and maintain high-quality care in a cooperative environment.

• Ensure compliance with nursing standards and procedures
• Develop, evaluate, and adjust resident care plans
• Supervise nursing and personal care staff on the unit
• Conduct training and performance evaluations for staff
• Record vital signs and initiate corrective health measures

• Valid RPN certification from Ontario College of Nurses
• BLS and First Aid certification required
• Strong knowledge of nursing practices and infection control
• Effective human relation and communication skills
• Completion of a vulnerable sector check and TB test
