Registered Nurse Day Shift

Enhance your nursing career with Southbridge Care Homes as a Registered Nurse on Day Shift in Port Hope. This Full-Time role involves critical responsibilities in resident assessment, medication management, and staff supervision to ensure the highest level of care.

In this position, you will be instrumental in implementing care plans and monitoring residents' health conditions. Your ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams will contribute directly to improving nursing practices and ensuring adherence to care standards. Reporting to the Director of Care, you will also lead nursing staff and facilitate training processes to maintain excellent services within the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and document vital signs and symptoms of residents

• Collaborate on resident care plans and assessments

• Supervise and mentor assigned nursing staff

• Facilitate preparation for RAI MDS evaluations

• Act as facility lead in the absence of the Director of Care

Requirements:

• Current certification from College of Nurses of Ontario

• Registered or eligible for registration in Ontario

• Valid First Aid and BLS Certification

• Experience in long-term care settings preferred

• Ability to prioritize and manage tasks effectively
